Side Ponytail With Side-swept Bangs

Expert Advice: Don't use a comb or brush to get this look. Use your hands, and finger comb the hair into a low side ponytail to get an undone look. To create a faux bang, use a low side part, and sweep the hair over the forehead. Secure the bobby just above the outside of the eyebrow.

Expert Advice: The base of this ponytail must be sitting at the highest point of the head. Use multiple large elastic ponytail holders on top of one another, and anchor with large bobby pins inside the elastics to build height at the base.

Expert Advice: Brush hair back into a ponytail at the nape, but stop short before pulling the hair all the way through the elastic to create this folded shape. Be sure to leave a few inches of the end of the ponytail out so you can use the excess to wrap around the elastic to finish the look. Secure the wrap with one single bobby pin from underneath the the base of the elastic to keep it hidden.

Expert Advice: Backcombing is key to achieving this look. Use a fine tooth comb to build volume at the crown in vertical sections. Smooth out the top with a natural boar bristle brush to keep the backcombing undisturbed underneath. Secure at the nape with an elastic.

Expert Advice: First, curl the hair with a 1.5 inch barrel curling iron to create texture. Gather hair loosely just below the hairline to create volume at the top of the shape and secure with a large flat barrette. The flat shape of the barrette will hold your volume in place at the top, and flatten the ponytail at the bottom.
